Abstract

The main problem in this study is the need for more effectiveness of conventional teaching strategies in social studies learning, which tends to be theoretical and full of reading. This study aims to reveal that the Outline Method is a practical choice of method in learning. Therefore, the study used a descriptive qualitative approach with observation and interviews to explore the effectiveness of the Outline Method as an alternative that can increase students' understanding of social studies learning material. This research uses descriptive qualitative research by making observations and interviews as an approach to collecting data. The results show that the learning is booming, and by the predetermined indicators, namely KKM 70, as much as 85% have been fulfilled
