The purpose of this study is to explain the education of IPS in the formation of social behavior and social responsibility of the 21st century. The authors use qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach and literature study or library research. The results of this study show that: 1) The Life of the 21st century is a life full of change as a result of the development of disruptive thinking, rapid technological advancement, the development of the industrial world as well as an increasingly open national life with the influence of unfiltered information in a new order of global life. 2) IPS education has a significant role in the development of social behavior and social responsibility of the 21st century by developing the social skills and competencies that exist in the learning of IPS, and by mastering social skills. The competencies that exist in learning IPS students are expected to have social behavior and social responsibility that is good in parents, teachers at school, and with the surrounding community environment and also can live more functionally and meaningfully in the 21st-century era.
